Wage: $50,000-60,000 CAD annually (Based on a 40-hour work week)

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated HR Coordinator to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative and human resources support to the Manager of HR and all employees at ILP. You will play an important role in recruitment and retention, onboarding, maintaining employee records, and fostering employee engagement. This position requires exceptional sensitivity, and attention to detail in a dynamic community-centered environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain efficient data collection systems to manage the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
- Support recruitment and hiring processes, including job description development, postings, candidate screening, interview tools, facilitation of interview panels, reference checks, and employment offer coordination.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for new hires.
- Champion our HRIS System, ensuring it is fully utilized, assisting staff with navigation, and troubleshooting issues.
- Plan and organize employee engagement activities to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Administer and process employment status changes, including creating employee status change letters and conducting employee verification checks.
- Assist with payroll processing to ensure all pay-related issues and processes are completely in a timely manner free of errors.
- Administer disability and leave management, providing support, tracking, and form completion.
- Develop and maintain general employee communication through various channels.
- Support Business Program teams with employee relations-related documentation.
- Support HR initiatives, including but not limited to: Learning & development, Total compensation, benefits, compliance, organizational structure, and employee engagement.
Qualifications and Attributes:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of proven experience in HR administration.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Effective Communication, verbal and written. Ability to draft correspondence for multiple different audiences.
- Knowledge of HR software programs.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial labour and safety laws.
