Job Summary: Inlailawatash is seeking a highly motivated IT/Office Coordinator to manage and coordinate IT functions and office operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth IT processes and efficient office workflows between our working locations. The IT/Office Coordinator will also assist us in our projects that sometimes take place out of office. Requiring the communication and coordination with external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee IT functions, including but not limited to, hardware and software systems, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Be the main contact for dealing with the main phone line and general contact emails.
- Be the first point of contact for all technical support inquiries, such as answering emails and incoming calls, and provide remote support to all internal employees and external clients for a wide range of technical, network and operating systems, applications, hardware, mobile devices, and other wireless technologies.
- Assist in the procurement of IT and office supplies, maintaining inventory levels. Supporting equipment lifecycle tasks including deployment, upgrade, repair, recommission, replace, inventory updates & recycling.
- Collaborate with IT vendors and office service providers to ensure optimal system and office performance. Including but not limited to company phone and cell accounts.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on IT tools and systems.
- Coordinate office logistics, including space planning, seating arrangements, and office supplies.
- Administration and maintenance of company website.
- Assist in the planning and execution of company events and meetings.
- Maintain office records and documentation, including IT-related documentation. Including the ordering of Business Cards.
- Manage office communication channels, ensuring timely and effective information flow.
- Assist in the implementation of IT security protocols and data backup procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues, escalating more complex problems as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in IT and office management practices.
- Foster a positive office culture by promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
- Supporting users in a remote/Hybrid work environment
- Assist in the creation and implementation of the project plan, according to the decided delivery approach and technology platform to meet solution requirements with the appropriate IT and business teams.
- Provide external IT services to clients and projects.
- Ensuring the adherence to the IT Project Standards practice for the management of all project work.
- Special projects as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of, and respect for, First Nations history, culture, and socio-economic contexts; keen interest in working for an Indigenous business seen as essential. Previous experience working in a First Nations community and/or business is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or office coordination roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Business Suite, and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Highly organized self-starter with attention to detail.
- Adaptive to tight deadlines, changing priorities, and team requests.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and vehicle is preferred
Travel: Limited travel may be required for meetings or training.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, occasional overtime as required.
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible, willing to wait for the right candidate.
Compensation: $30-$35 /h CAD; Plus, Extended Health Benefits & Pension Plan
